Beach Cleanup Activities at Besant Nagar

Nissan Trading India Pvt. Ltd. organized a beach clean-up activity near Ashtalakshmi Temple Side Beach and the area in Besant Nagar where trash accumulates due to ocean currents. Employees and their families gathered to work towards a clean and sustainable environment. Participants wore blue T-shirts made from recycled PET bottles and hats made from recycled used jeans. While engaging in activities to raise environmental awareness, they collected approximately 100 kg of trash in just two hours.

Jeju Island Beach Clean-Up

Nissan Trading Co., Ltd. (Seoul and Busan Branch) conducted a beach clean-up activity in Jeju Island. Employees diligently collected trash washed up on the shore, contributing to environmental protection. Through this activity, the bonds among employees were strengthened, and their sense of contribution to the local community was heightened.

Partnering for a Greener Future: Supporting Kanagawa Forest Restoration

Nissan Trading Co., Ltd. has joined as a 'Forest Restoration Partner,' endorsing the 'Kanagawa Forest Restoration 50-Year Vision' to ensure the forest's rich benefits are passed on to future generations. By collaborating with Kanagawa Prefecture to develop water source forests and organizing internal events to connect with the forest, contributions will be made to nature conservation and environmental protection, ensuring that Kanagawa's beautiful forests are passed on to the next generation.

Beach cleaning activities in Hua Hin Beach, Thailand

In November 2023, employees of Nissan Trading (Thailand) Co., Ltd. participated in a cleanup at Hoa Hin Beach in Thailand. The employees who participated in the activities not only felt that they were contributing to society, but also commented that picking up trash gave us an opportunity to think about the global environment.

Participation in Cleaning Activities in Kanda Town, Japan

One of our affiliates, Kyushu Tekko Center Co., Ltd. participated in the Kanda Port Clean-up activities in 2023, as it did last year. They mainly collected drifting garbage such as empty cans, plastic bottles and driftwood on the beach. The company will continue to actively contribute to local communities.

Participation in cleanup activities in Kanda Town, Japan, for the first time in three years

Kyushu Tekko Center Co., Ltd. participated for the first time in three years since the Kanda Port Clean-up activities, which had been cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, were resumed in 2022. A large amount of drifted waste was collected in about two hours of cleanup work. The company will continue to actively engage in environmental work in the town.

Participating in the 'Walk in Her Shoes 2024' Campaign

Nissan Trading Co., Ltd. participated as a special sponsor and a walking partner in the "Walk in Her Shoes 2024" campaign by NGO Care International Japan.　 In the first year, 50 employees participated and achieved a total of 24,989,487 steps. This campaign allows participants to experience the distance that women and girls in developing countries walk to obtain safe drinking water, and the steps taken are converted into donations.

Supporting the Orphanage Through Repurposing Unwanted Furniture

Donation to the Casimira Arteaga Girls' Orphanage

Nissan Trading Corp., Americas (Mexico) had its employees visit a girls' orphanage in Aguascalientes and conduct a 20-minute session. The employees read letters, hoping that the girls would return to school and encouraging them to stay motivated in their studies. In addition to the donations from the workers, they also supported the purchase of notebooks for the new school term and donated sneakers, which the girls immediately wore.

Contributing to Animal Welfare through Donations to PAWS

Participation in Christmas volunteer program in Brazil

Campaign Calling for Donations to Mexican Nursing Homes

From 2021, Nissan Trading Corp., Americas (Mexico Branch) began a campaign calling for donations to Mexican nursing homes. Employees who previously had difficulty in donating can now, as a new option, donate through their food coupon card by scanning a QR code and clicking a button, and donations are then distributed according to purchase price.

Promoting Community and Social Contribution Activities with F. Marinos Sports Club

Donation of used books to public libraries in Thailand

On International Literacy Day, September 8, established by UNESCO, Nissan Trading (Thailand) Co., Ltd. collected used books for children and young adults from employees, understanding that all individuals deserve equal access to the wealth of knowledge contained within books. The collected used books were donated to public libraries in Thailand.

Donation of Laptop Computers to Elementary Schools in Thailand

In 2018, Nissan Trading (Thailand) Co., Ltd. donated 17 used computers to be installed in the computer room of an elementary school in Bangkok, and this gave the students easy access to the online learning program Royal Project.

Additionally, in 2019 Nissan Trading (Thailand) donated food and 20 used laptop computers to a school in Phetchaburi. This school had no computers that could be used to build its own computer room, and the students walked to a nearby university to receive support for their computer classes. The donated laptop computers were installed in the school's computer room, thereby enabling the students to take computer lessons at their school.

Donations for Flood Victims in Rio Grande do Sul

"Share to Change, SWAP UNUSED ITEMS" Activities and Support for Disaster Victims

Nissan Trading (Thailand) Co., Ltd. organized the "Share to Change, SWAP UNUSED ITEMS" activity in which employees brought unused and unwanted goods and exchanged them with each other. Through this activity, we were able to repurpose items that would otherwise go unused. Some of these items were also donated to flood victims in Chiang Mai.
